Corporate transport in Coventry: the questions we actually get asked

Umar Jahangir | Hampton Travel | Last updated: 5 August 2026

Quick answer: Hampton Travel runs prepaid travel accounts for Coventry and Warwickshire organisations. Pre-booked journeys, named DBS-checked drivers, price agreed per journey before travel, one statement covering everyone. Set-up is a single phone call. Call 0800 061 4661.

This is the page for anyone weighing us up before making contact. If your question is not here, ring and ask it.

Who uses Hampton Travel for business transport?

Hotels arranging guest transfers to Birmingham Airport. Care homes booking medical appointments. Construction firms with early site starts across Warwickshire. Professional services firms moving clients, staff and visiting consultants. We also hold home to school transport contracts with Warwickshire County Council.

The common thread is not sector. It is that the journey is planned, and someone would notice if the car did not arrive.

How does the account work?

You top up a balance. Journeys draw from it at the price agreed when each booking was made. You get a statement showing every journey with the date, the passenger and the destination against it.

There is no card handed to a driver, no petty cash, and nothing for staff to claim back. Top-ups from £2,500 earn 8 percent travel credit and from £5,000 they earn 10 percent, added automatically. The credit lasts twelve months. Your own topped-up balance does not expire.

How long does set-up take?

One call. No forms to chase, no credit check, no minimum spend and no contract term. If it does not suit you, stop using it and spend the balance down.

What vehicles do you run?

Saloons for one to three passengers with luggage. MPVs for larger groups. An 8-seater carrying up to 8 passengers. We also run a wheelchair accessible vehicle with a ramp and four-point restraint, covered on the medical and accessible transport page.

Tell us passenger and luggage numbers at booking and we send what fits, rather than whatever is nearest.

Can we have the same driver each time?

Where the rota allows, yes, and it is worth asking for. On a recurring route a driver who knows the building, the barrier and where to wait is a materially better journey than a new one each week. For vulnerable passengers it matters more than that.

What happens if a flight is delayed?

We track the inbound flight. If it lands forty minutes late the driver knows before you have taxied to stand. You are not paying for waiting you did not cause, and nobody is standing in arrivals opening an app.

How far do you go?

Pickups across Coventry and Warwickshire. Destinations anywhere in mainland UK: all major airports, the seaports and ferry ports, and city to city runs. Long distance is pre-booked the same way as a local journey.

Are your drivers checked?

All drivers are licensed by Coventry City Council and DBS-checked. Our council contract work carries passenger assistants and a logged audit trail as standard, and the same standard applies to every booking we take.

Can we get a record of what we have spent?

Yes. The account statement lists every journey with date, passenger and destination. That is a complete record for internal reporting, and for any client recharge you need to evidence.

Who books the journeys?

Whoever you want. Most accounts are run by an office manager or PA who books for the whole team. Bookings come in by phone or email; there is no app to make anyone download.

What if we need something unusual?

Ask. Child seats, wheelchair access, oversized luggage, a 3am start, a driver waiting between two meetings, a run to a port at the other end of the country. If we cannot do it we will say so rather than take the booking and hope.
